Belgian sculptor Kris Demuelenaere uses the bronze sculpture Distracted Perspective to metaphorize the power of perception. Viewed from one side, this limited- edition bronze sculpture may appear to be nothing more than a square, but viewed from another angle, it is a dynamic and powerful work of art. When creating, Kris Demuelenaere draws a parallel between art and real life, explaining how people's mentality and attitude affect the quality of our lives.
Kris Demuelenaere's passion for hammering stone began as a child, and as an adult he fully developed in the arts and became a stone sculptor. Kris Demuelenaere wields a chisel and hammer to outline sculptures hidden within canvases of striped marble, limestone or Carrara marble. This intuitive approach makes Demuelenaere's artworks natural yet thoughtful, fluid yet solid, sensual yet rational, intricate yet complex. Effortlessly. Kris Demuelenaere has been collaborating with Gardeco since 2022. His stunning stone sculptures can now be appreciated by more people, and limited editions of bronze sculptures have also been launched.
