Patera Oval is a new series of products launched by Patera Chandelier in 2021. The Patera chandelier was designed by Øivind Slaatto and co-published with Louis Poulsen in 2015. The Patera chandelier is like a modern version of the classic chandelier, injecting softness into contemporary spaces with a bright light source full of visual changes.
With a minimalist appearance, Patera Oval provides lighting that combines classic, modern and functional lighting, suitable for spaces with low ceilings. Patera Oval Based on the original design concept of Patera , the Patera chandelier consists of 30 light pieces, while the Patera Oval has 27 pieces. Continuing Patera's hand-woven and fascinating aesthetic lampshade design, unlike Patera , Patera Oval is not presented in the shape of a sphere, but changes the geometric ellipse of the original design into a flat, round oval design.
In order to facilitate hand weaving, the thickness of Patera Oval's PVC cutting sheet is 0.4mm, which is thinner than Patera 0.5mm , making the light distribution of Patera Oval more transparent and clear. Patera Oval recommends using LED light sources, with a thinner opening under the lampshade and a thinner design to distribute the light more widely.
The circular opening below Patera Oval allows the light source to be directed downwards, and the reflector design at the opening converts the light into a soft light source. The minimalist design of Patera Oval's flat ellipse can meet the needs of spaces with limited ceiling heights. This chandelier is equally perfect for use in high-ceiling spaces or above the dining table, creating a wide visual sense between the ceiling and the dining table.
