The PH Snowball chandelier was first exhibited at the Danish Museum of Decorative Arts in 1958 and was not reintroduced until 1983. The PH Snowball 150th anniversary limited edition launched by Louis Poulsen is the first time to adopt a new surface treatment method.
PH Snowball combines automation and manual technology and adopts a delicate manufacturing process. The metal lampshade is formed by mechanical spinning. At the same time, it requires skilled workers to operate the machine very carefully by hand and control the pressure to avoid wrinkles or thinning of the metal. Smooth treatment of the lampshade surface, Cutting the lampshade to fit the correct diameter, height, etc., is all done by hand, and punching holes in the lampshade and removing sharp edge burrs also requires manual operation of the machine.
The 150th anniversary limited edition of the PH Snowball chandelier is made of PVD electroplated brass, which can reflect a beautiful lighting effect when the lights are turned on and off. This is also the first time that Louis Poulsen has used electroplated brass instead of bright chrome in the PH Snowball chandelier.
PH Snowball Chandelier 150th Anniversary The limited edition lampshade is matte white on the outside and light pink rose on the inside (the same color as the inside of the lampshade blades of the 1958 PH Artichoke pine cone chandelier), which makes the reflected light from the bulb warmer and softer.
The PH Snowball chandelier 150th anniversary commemorative model is limited to 300 pieces globally/Europe each. The white blade of the fourth layer of the lampshade is engraved with a serial number from 1 to 300. The serial number is randomly assigned upon shipment and cannot be assigned. The package includes a limited edition certificate, handwritten with the individual serial number of the commemorative model.
