The Nordic standing lamp VL38 series was originally designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in collaboration with Louis Poulsen in the late 1930s, using classic lamps from the Radiohuset building in Copenhagen (now the Royal Danish Academy of Music).
In the mid-1940s, Louis Poulsen replaced the VL38 as a product type entry until the fall of 2016 when the VL38 version in white with a brass bracket was re-launched.
In order to comply with the advancement of contemporary lighting technology and energy efficiency, VL38 began to use LED technology; the VL38 black version was launched in the fall of 2017. The black version retains the retro appearance and classic soft lines, but gives people a stronger visual impact impression.
The VL38 series is available in table lamps, standing lamps, and wall lamps.
When purchasing, please note that the brass surface of this lamp has not been treated with anti-oxidation. The lamp will produce different oxidation conditions over time and climate conditions.
