The VL38 wall light was originally designed by Vilhelm Lauritzen in collaboration with Louis Poulsen in the late 1930s for use in the Radiohuset building in Copenhagen
( now the Royal Academy of Music in Denmark) is a classic lamp.
In the mid-1940s, Louis Poulsen put the VL38 in his product catalog until he re-launched the VL38 version in white with a brass bracket in the fall of 2016.
In order to comply with the advancement of contemporary lighting technology and energy efficiency, VL38 began to use LED technology; the VL38 black version was launched in the fall of 2017. The black version retains the retro appearance and classic soft lines, but gives a stronger visual impact impression.
The VL38 series is available in table lamps, standing lamps, and wall lamps.
