AP Is it a chair or a sculpture? Actually it is both. Stackable and waterproof, AP is almost like a hat, elegant and sophisticated, blending streamlined shapes, abstract art and ergonomic design.
The AP chair and stool is inspired by the Japanese art of origami and is created using folded wooden pieces. Just like hand-folded paper techniques, you can explore and create various shapes including animals, graphics, etc., AP’s silhouette and silhouette are stunning from all angles. The shape of this chair and stool exudes vivid artistic charm, like a light and dancing butterfly.
Japanese designer Shin Azumi established a personal studio in London in 2005. He returned to Tokyo, Japan in 2016 and currently teaches at the School of Engineering Design at Hosei University . His clients include Lapalma, Magis, Desalto, Fredericia, Tefal, Authentics and many other international brands. Shin Azumi has won many design awards in Europe and Japan, including the Blueprint 100% Design Award and the FX International Design Award for Design Product of the Year. He has also served as a judge for well-known design awards such as the IF Design Award (DE) . His works are included in the collections of many internationally renowned museums, such as the Victoria & Albert Museum in the UK and the Stedelijk Museum in the Netherlands.
