The UNCINO series is designed by the well-known French brothers Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec. It continues its cooperation with Mattiazzi and combines handcrafting and CNC milling machine technology to achieve carving-like solid wood craftsmanship. The UNCINO series of solid wood side chairs has wide and narrow backs and two different chair legs. Curved metal rods support the carefully cut solid wood - wood is still the protagonist of the work, but metal parts play a vital role in the structure. The structure and solid wood are almost combined and connected in an organic overlapping manner. The solid wood is covered with metal rods. The design of combining two different materials makes the metal components particularly eye-catching on the solid wood appearance.
The UNCINO series uses thick solid wood combined with metal wire frames, and is seamlessly covered. The appearance is simple but it also conveys the pure beauty of wood and metal materials. There are wide back and narrow back styles to choose from.
