The Mere Bowl porcelain bowl was originally prototyped from paper, which was folded to create a bowl-like surface. The bendable material was then replaced with hard plaster.
The Mere Bowl is a sculptural centerpiece that makes a great addition to a table setting or space, whether used or empty. Just like the art of origami, the design of Mere Bowl explores the changes of light and shadow. The unique appearance is simple but unique. The central line expands to both sides to form a bowl shape with creases. The independent bottom support creates a visual effect as if it is suspended in the air. Made of ceramic clay and coated with a high-gloss glaze that enhances the shadow effect formed by the folds of the Mere Bowl , the special surface treatment makes the Mere Bowl food-safe.
The production process makes each bowl unique, slight variations in color, thickness and finish are normal.
