Sam Hecht inspired life opens up simple creative design

1969-

An industrial designer from the UK, he graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art in the UK and also obtained a master's degree in industrial design from the Royal College of Art in London. With a passionate interest in industrial design and architecture, he became a disciple of architects such as David Chipperfield and successfully shaped his unique design style in the future. He believes that as long as we study deeply and keenly observe the details of daily life, even simple things can generate creative inspiration. After completing his master's degree in 1993, he joined Ideo, a well-known design company in California, USA, and then moved to Tokyo to work with Naoto Fukasawa.

In 2002, he founded the Industrial Facility with his partner Kim Colin, and has cooperated with many well-known brand customers such as Japan's Muji. In recent years, he has served as a design consultant for Herman Miller. Sam Hecht's work has won him more than 40 international design awards, including 5 IF Hannover Gold Medals.
