Gordon Guillaumier was born in Malta, educated in Switzerland, England and Italy. He worked as an apprentice at Baleri Italia and worked with design architect Rodolfo Dordoni. In 2002, he established his own design studio, designing products and serving as a design consultant. In 2012, he launched the Ruler series of products for Tacchini, and also added a series of side table furniture to Tacchini.

Cage is a series of side tables that are either round or square, and are made of three different material tops and metal. The composition of different materials can be combined to create a light and stable posture. The natural patterns of marble not only add layers to the tabletop, but paired with the slender curved metal structure, the marble countertops are hard and have beautiful textures, exuding a calm natural connotation and extraordinary momentum.

In addition to marble, Cage's countertop options include laminate and mirror styles, and the table structure is a metal frame.
