The Le Mura modular sofa was designed by the internationally renowned Italian designer Mario Bellini in 1972. In the design trend of the 1970s, design not only focused on aesthetics, proportion or ergonomics, but also included social connotations. Even though Le Mura has experienced 50 years later, timeless design remains.

The name Le Mura comes from Italian, which literally translates to "city wall". The theme of modularity is the core of the design. Mario Bellini hopes to express the concept of modularity and composability through this name, just like the Roman city walls. Like giant stones, capable of being pieced together in different combinations, this sofa fits perfectly into both small and large spaces and is durable and will never lose its unique flavor.

The Le Mura modular sofa was relaunched by Tacchini in 2022. It respects the original design and emphasizes comfort, giving users an unparalleled riding experience. This series of sofas also won the 2022 Archiproducts Design Award.
