Louis Poulsen, a century-old international brand of Nordic chandeliers, redesigned the PH 5 chandelier, a classic work of Danish lighting design master Poul Henningsen, and launched a black Asian limited edition in 2020.
The PH 5 chandelier is a classic work of the well-known Danish lighting designer Paul Henningsen. It was first exhibited at the Copenhagen Art Museum in Denmark in 1958. Since the circle diameter of the lamp is 50 centimeters, it was named PH 5.
The design of PH 5 uses four main lampshades, plus two small mini lampshades to stack the bulbs. The multi-layered lampshade design pioneers the indirect transmission of light sources, so that users will not look directly at the light source, achieving seamless lighting. Glare lighting method; in addition, the principle of equiangular spiral is also used. The light will glide on the lampshade at the same incident angle, and then the warm and refreshing light will be reflected from the bottom of the lamp.
When designing the PH 5 lamp, red and purple mini lampshades were installed on the lamp part. Without affecting the external vision, optical principles were used to combine light colors that are not easily detectable by the human eye to create a satisfactory soft light.
