SETA is the second work that Foster + Partners collaborated with Mattiazzi after the Leva series. It was mainly designed to design a stackable chair with soft geometric lines. This chair combines Mattiazzi’s expertise in solid wood furniture and CNC. and exquisite craftsmanship.
The biggest challenge of the entire design was having to balance the many elements. SETA 's design went through a process of repeated additions and subtractions before being finalized. Initially, the single chair was ergonomically designed, and later a series of mock-ups were made and the form, structure and seat of the chair were adjusted. Foster + Partners developed a more perfect design and manufacturing process through close cooperation with Mattiazzi . This process of continuous exchanges resulted in the development of this single chair that is efficient, lightweight and meets Mattiazzi 's quality requirements.
SETA is a multi-purpose single chair that is stackable and ergonomic, suitable for different spaces such as offices, commercial spaces and homes. Covered chair cushions are non-removable and available in textile or leather.
