PH Septima chandelier

The PH Septima is considered the most exquisite of Poul Henningsen's chandeliers. The original design was first published in 1928 when it was installed at the Danish Museum of Art Installation (now Design museum Denmark), and its poetic appearance gained unanimous recognition at the time. Good reviews. Starting from the design of the PH 5/5 three-layer series, four additional layers are added, resulting in a total of seven layers of lampshades. The Septima is made of extremely exquisite and detailed Italian borosilicate heat-resistant glass.
Each lampshade is presented in an interlaced manner with transparent and matte glass blocks. The positions of the transparent and matte glass blocks of each layer of lampshade are accurately interlaced with the transparent and matte blocks of the upper and lower lampshade glass, creating zero glare and Under the incident light source directly below, the gradual design allows the light to be distributed more evenly.
In addition, in 1931, the Setpima 4 was designed based on the PH 4/4 size, while the original PH Septima 5 size was based on the PH 5/5.
When developing the PH Septima, Henningsen also designed a metal version. Although it was never officially produced, this design later became the basis for the development of the PH Artichoke that Henningsen launched for the Langelinie Pavilion Club in Copenhagen 30 years later.
Due to a shortage of raw materials, production of the highly regarded PH Septima was forced to cease in 1940, along with countless other lamps of the time. In 2020, Louis Poulsen optimized the product according to PH Septima 5 and improved the resistance and stability of the glass, allowing the seven-layer glass chandelier, the most mature and sophisticated design of Poul Henningsen, to be re-launched.
When purchasing, please note that the brass surface of this lamp has not been treated with anti-oxidation, and the lamp will produce different oxidation conditions over time and climate conditions.
