Enigma chandelier is the work of Japanese designer Shoichi Uchiyama. He insists on designing indirect and zero-glare lamps. In order to pursue high-quality lighting, he has repeatedly verified it in a rigorous way. His lamp design is both simple and functional. , blending minimalist beauty and traditional Japanese style, and has won the German iF Award and the Japanese Good Design Award
In 2003, Shoichi Uchiyama designed the Enigma 425, which dismantled the design concept of the traditional chandelier and transformed it into a slender, multi-layered concentric structure. Using extremely thin metal wires to support it, the transparent and halo shape creates a visual effect that makes the concentric lampshade seem to be floating in the air. Enigma 545 version will be launched in 2007
Enigma means "enigma", which means that when viewing this lamp from a certain distance, the lampshade appears to be spiraling in layers, making it as elusive as a mystery. Shoichi Uchiyama's design concept is completely consistent with Louis Poulsen's brand philosophy. Enigma combines Japanese elegance and Nordic simplicity to create a new interpretation of multi-level chandeliers.
In 2018, a black version was added to the original aluminum version, which further expands the space decoration effect designed by Enigma, while also creating a stable visual effect and a completely different space atmosphere.
