Tobia Scarpa Contemporary Architectural Design Master

Tobia Scarpa and his wife Afra are Italian architects and designers who have won the Postmodern Award. They have cooperated with international furniture manufacturers such as Gavina, Cassina, and Knoll and have published many classic products.

Tobia Scarpa is passionate about the elegant and exquisite design of exterior lines and materials. Influenced by her father, who is also an architect, Scarpa does not chase specific trends, but focuses on creating solid, durable and beautiful designs, while at the same time combining art, creativity, and craftsmanship. A balance between the four aspects of technology and industrial design.

His and his wife's works range from architecture, interior design, furniture, clothing to art glass, and have won many international awards, including the Compasso d'Oro in 1969 and the International Forum Design in 1992. Compasso d'Oro Lifetime Achievement Award. Many of their designs have been included in the collections of major museums in the United States and Europe, including the MoMA in New York, the Louvre in France, and the Contemporary Museum in Chicago. They are very well-known representatives in the fields of furniture design and architecture.
